  • The getty on the console is started early via s6 (same time as uncaught log service), rather than by s6-rc, to allow early poking in case something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that means it starts before the hostname is set.
  • Doesn't yet start x on the framebuffer. It simply loads an image.
  • Currently this image employs a bunch of workarounds to handle odd cases with the VM
  • The uncaught logger keeps exiting 0, and on relaunch, relogs the last chunk. This results in that log file continuously growing (and rotating out) with duplicate messages. Eventually messages appear on the console indicating that rotation is failing due to protocol errors.
  • This emulator is copied from https://s-macke.github.io/jor1k/demos/main.html, with a new filesystem by me to showcase/play with s6, s6-rc, and anopa systems.
